WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- Juniata College baseball posted its first win of the 2011 campaign with a 14-12 victory over Bridgewater College, Monday afternoon at Lake Myrtle Field.

Chase Dykstra went 3-for-6 at the plate for the Eagles (1-2(, while Benjamin Mersky (Hershey, Pa./Hershey), Russel Gray (Johnstown, Pa./Richland), Ian Thorne (Germantown, Pa../Seneca Valley), and Bradley Medellin (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) each had a pair of hits. Gray and Matt Fritz (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) logged a pair of runs batted in.

Matt Regan (Downingtown, Pa./Devon Prep) fanned six and allowed seven runs on six hits with five walks in the fourinning, no-decision start. Ryan Morrison (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon Catholic) pitched three-and-two-thirds innings in relief, allowing five earned runs on his way to earning the win. Ben Sealy (Seneca Falls, N.Y./Mynderse Academy) earned the save, allowing just one hit in one-and-a-third innings of work.

Juniata faces Waynesburg University in a doubleheader Tuesday starting at 1230 p.m.
