MADISON, N.J. -- The Juniata College women's swim team competed in a tri-meet Friday night at Drew University and fell to the Rangers 79-28 and posted a 100-18 deficit against Susquehanna University.

The Eagles kicked off the night with a third place finish of 2:03.63 in the 200 Medley Relay comprised of Evan Beatty (Hershey, Pa./Hershey), Kelsey Miles (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area), Falon Snyder (Walnutport, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) and Kathryn Viola (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East).

Miles placed second in the Women's 200 Freestyle, falling just two seconds short of the first place finisher at 2:05.91. Miles grabbed third in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 58.77.

Snyder came in fourth in the 200 Backstroke in 2:22.64. Snyder also came in third in the 100 Butterfly in 1:08.93.

Viola's 200 Breaststroke in 2:40.82 put her in second place for the event, 43 milliseconds behind Susquehanna's Elaine Anderson in first.

Beatty finished third in the 1000 Freestyle in 12:03.41.

In the 28th event of the night, the Eagles 200 Freestyle Relay in 1:53.49 put them in fourth to beat both a Drew and Susquehanna squad. The relay was comprised of Miles, Snyder, Haldis Andersen (Mooreseville, N.C./Mooresville) and Viola.

Susquehanna swept the Rangers 74-47 in the women's meet, and the men's meet as well (154-59).

Juniata returns to the pool tomorrow, Jan. 22, when it travels to FDU-Florham with Lebanon Valley College. The meet is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m.
