HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- With its performances in field hockey and women's volleyball this fall, Juniata College has checked in at 23rd among Division III athletic programs in the Learfield Sports/National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Directors' Cup rankings, released Thursday.

Juniata has 136.00 points in the Directors' Cup race. Among Pennsylvania schools, only Messiah College (fourth, 280.00 points) and Dickinson College (15th, 169.00 points) have more points than Juniata College. The Eagles are also the highest-scoring Landmark Conference institution.

Washington University-St. Louis sits atop the Directors' Cup leaderboard with 336.00 points, followed by Calvin College (Mich.) with 327.00 points. Middlebury College (Vt.) is third with 325.00 points, while Williams College (Mass.) is fifth behind Messiah with 236.00 points.

The Directors' Cup awards points based on qualification for and advancement in the NCAA Championships in 18 sports. Six of the NCAA's seven fall championships have been completed; the final fall standings will be completed on Thursday, Dec. 23.
