After a quiet first half, Juniata College field hockey gained a two goal lead over Wesley College to defeat the Wolverines 2-0 under the lights Wednesday night in Lancaster, Pa.

Paula Price (Camp Hill, Pa./East Pennsboro) hit her 49th career goal mark in the 14th minute of the second half. Shauna Deschenes (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) had the second goal for the Eagles just minutes later, off an assist from Caitlyn Bowman (Seven Valleys, Pa./Dallastown) to secure the lead.

Juniata goalkeeper Moira Nugent (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) made one save in 70 minutes of play and faced four shots and ten penalty corners from the Wolverines. Sarah Johnson made three saves in goal for Wesley in all 70 minutes, facing 11 shots and eight corner kicks from Juniata.

Juniata will host The University of Scranton this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Winton Hill Field.
