HOBOKEN, N.J. -- TCNJ's Leigh Mitchell tallied the lone goal of the second half, lifting The College of New Jersey past Juniata College, 2-1, in Sunday action at the Stevens Field Hockey Tournament.

After TCNJ grabbed a quick lead on Camille Passucci's goal barely six minutes into the game, junior Meghan McGlone (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) knotted the game about two-and-a-half minutes later. McGlone buried a shot into the right corner with 21:24 remaining in the first half, with Emma Dahmus (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) getting credit for the assist.

Senior Moira Nugent (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) played all 70 minutes in the Juniata goal, and recorded five saves. TCNJ goalie Shannon Syciarz logged seven saves, as Juniata outshot TCNJ 21-11.

Juniata returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 8, when it faces Elizabethtown College.
