PHILADELPHIA -- Juniata College sophomore Kristyn Ginter (Tyrone, Pa./Bellwood-Antis) had the top Juniata individual performance to lead the Eagles at Saturday's Penn Invitational at Franklin Field.

Ginter was second in the javelin, with a throw of 33.03m (108-04).

Freshman Angela Shaffer (Prospect, Pa./Slippery Rock) finished among the top ten in two events at the Penn Inviational. She was sixth in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.54m (5-0.50), and placed seventh overall in the women's 100m hurdles with a time of 15.38 seconds and winning her heat in the process.

Senior Ryan Johnson (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) was the top men's finisher with a fifth place result in the hammer throw, with a best mark of 41.38m (135-09). Senior TJ Breya (McClure, Pa./East Juniata) also posted a top ten finish for the men, placing eighth in the 400m hurdles in 56.23 seconds. Breya finished just outside the top ten in the 110m hurdles, finishing 11th with a time of 16.24.

Sophomore Dustin Drake (Mount Union, Pa./Mount Union) likewise turned in an eighth place finish for the Eagles; Drake was eighth in the javelin with a throw of 52.48m (172-02). Johnson was 10th in the javelin with a mark of 49.28m (161-08).

Kevin Donahue (Sandy Hook, Conn./Newtown) also had an eighth place finish for the Eagles, placing eighth in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:36.75. Nik Klena (Franklin, Pa./Oil City) was 12th in the 1500m run with a time of 4:07.54.

The Juniata track and field teams will be at multiple meets next weekend. Part of the squad will be at the Bucknell Distance Carnival next Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, in Lewisburg, Pa., while other will be at the Messiah Invitational on Saturday, April 10.
