HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College senior Stacy Nagy (Millerton, Pa./Troy) has been named the Landmark Conference Softball Player of the Week, for the week ending March 14, 2010.

Nagy batted .625 over Juniata's seven-game spring break trip, leading the Eagles to a 6-1 mark to open the 2010 season. She hit safely in all six games in which she played, including four multi-hit games, posting a .938 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage for the week. She logged 10 hits, four for extra bases, and drove in seven runs while crossing the plate six times.

Nagy also made three starts in the circle as the Eagles' number two pitcher, and posted a 1.00 ERA with a 3-0 record. She struck out 17 batters, including a high of 10 against the College of St. Elizabeth, and allowed just two earned runs on nine hits in 14.0 innings of work.

The honor is Nagy's first conference player of the week award of her career.

Juniata (6-1) returns to action on Tuesday, March 16, when the Eagles travel to Annville, Pa., to take on Lebanon Valley College.
