LATROBE, Pa. -- Juniata College's 23 turnovers led to 23 points for Saint Vincent College, which proved to be more than the difference in a 73-66 loss for Juniata women's basketball, Wednesday night in Latrobe, Pa.

Despite shooting 47.8 percent (11-of-23) from three-point range for the game, Juniata (5-5) struggled to hit its shots down the stretch, allowing a slim lead to slip away in the final five minutes of the game.

The Eagles held a 64-62 lead at the 5:05 mark following a layup by Jen Hnatuck (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity), but Saint Vincent (8-2) knotted the game 16 seconds later on a pair of foul shots by Megan DePrimio.

The game remained deadlocked for over a minute, until the Bearcats' Brittany Sedlock drained a pair of free throws to give Saint Vincent a lead they would not relinquish.

Juniata committed six turnovers over the final five minutes, robbing the Eagles of the shots they needed to wage a comeback. The Eagles were just 1-of-3 from the floor over that final stretch, with Ashton Bankos' (York, Pa./York Catholic) jumper with 2:38 showing in the second half providing Juniata's only offensive spark.

Bankos and freshman Natalie Glinsky (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) paced the Eagles offensively with 13 points each, with Glinsky connecting on three of her four three-point attempts of the night. Hnatuck finished with 10 points and logged two blocks and two steals.

Senior Kelly Rotan (Atco, N.J./Hammonton) led Juniata on the glass with 10 rebounds, to go with her nine points.

Saint Vincent had four players in double figures, led by Maria Baroffio and Sedlock with 18 points each. Sedlock also tallied 11 rebounds to post the double-double.

Juniata returns home for a pair of games this weekend in the Juniata Holiday Tournament. The Eagles will host St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday at 6:00 p.m., and will face either Manhattanville College or Cabrini College in Sunday action.
