PRINCETON, N.J. -- Juniata College outblocked Princeton University and had twice as many service aces as the Tigers, but Princeton outhit the Eagles on its way to a 3-1 win over Juniata, Saturday afternoon in Princeton, N.J.

Set scores for Princeton were 25-19, 19-25, 25-23, and 25-20.

Sophomore outside hitter Drew Barnhart (Titusville, Pa./Titusville) led the Eagles with 13 kills on 29 swings, hitting .414 for the match. Freshman middle Kelsey Fuller (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) also finished in double-digits with 11 terminations.

Sophomore middle Amanda Schmidt (Boswell, Pa./North Star) and junior setter Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) paced the Juniata blocking attack with five total blocks each. As a team, Juniata finished with 12.0 total blocks, while Princeton tallied 8.0 blocks.

Strauss ran a Juniata offense that his .209 for the match with her 38 assists, while turning up 11 digs. Senior libero Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) paced the Eagles defensively with 16 digs.

Three Princeton players finished in double figures on kills, led by Lydia Rudnick and Cathryn Quinn with 17 each. Sheena Donahue added 14 kills.

Princeton hit.236 for the match, including a .385 clip in the first set, and a .333 attack percentage in the fourth and final frame.

Juniata plays the first of two Landmark Conference round robin weekends this coming Saturday and Sunday at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. The Eagles face Goucher College and Catholic University on Saturday, followed by the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Sunday.
