Four Juniata College student-athletes have been honored as Landmark Conference Players of the Week, for the week ending Sept. 13.

Sophomore Drew Barnhart (Titusville, Pa./Titusville) earned her second Player of the Week award in as many weeks for women's volleyball. She helped lead the Eagles to a perfect 5-0 record, including a 3-1 win over top-ranked and defending national champion Emory. Throughout the week, Barnhart totaled 57 kills while contributing 14 digs and six service aces.

The men's soccer team had a successful week, beating St. Vincent 2-1 in the second overtime period and defeating Penn State-Harrisburg 2-1. Sophomore David Grim (Boalsburg, Pa./ State College Area) scored key goals in each contest, earning him Offensive Player of the Week honors. Grim tallied the game tying goal against St. Vincent College with 25 seconds left in the second half and scored the first goal of the game against Penn-State Harrisburg.

The men's and women's cross country team swept Runner of the Week honors this week with senior Matt Bailey (East Petersburg, Pa./ Hempfield) and senior Laura Rupprecht (Jefferson, Md./ Brunswick). Both ran exceptionally well at the Lock Haven Invitational. Bailey ran the fastest time in the Landmark so far this season on the 8K course, as well as a personal best 26:32.85, placing him fifth in the field. Rupprecht finished ninth out of 92 runners in the 6K race, running a season best 23:54.91, which ranks second in the Landmark at that distance this season. Both teams placed sixth out of nine teams in the Invitational.
