HUNTINGDON, Pa. - After going 4-0 and winning their own Asics Invitational this past weekend, the Juniata College womens' volleyball team remained in second place in the first American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Coaches Top 25 poll, released Tuesday.

The Eagles received one first place vote and closed the gap on Emory who topped the poll with 599 points and 23 first place votes. Juniata was previously 40 points behind Emory in the preseason poll, but received 572 points in week one's poll.

Wisconsin-Oshkosh moved up one spot to number three also going 4-0 and receiving 542 points. Ohio Northern jumped two spots to number 4 with 529 point and Carthage rounds out the top five with 513 points.

Juniata returns to the court Wednesday, September 9, when they take on St. Vincent College in the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center.
