HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata College senior guard Claudia McDowell (Alexandria, Pa./Juniata Valley) has been voted a Second team selection to the ECAC Division III South Region All-Star team, which was announced Friday.

McDowell, who also earned First team All-Landmark Conference honors and was the Landmark's Defensive Player of the Year, finished the season averaging 12.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, and was third in the league in assists with 4.34 per game (126 total). Her 92 steals, averaging 3.17 per game, was tops in the Landmark Conference, and ranked 50th among NCAA Division III leaders.

She helped lead Juniata to the ECAC Division III South Region championship, the first post-season championship of any kind in program history. McDowell averaged 15.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 3.0 steals over the three games of the ECAC South Tournament, on her way to earning Tournament Most Valuable Player honors.

The Eagles finished the season with an 18-11 overall record, 9-5 in the Landmark Conference, and earned a berth in the Landmark tournament for the second consecutive year. Juniata's 36 wins over the past two seasons represents the most wins in a two-year span in program history.
