HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College Campus Girl Scouts, will hold a Badge Day for area Girl Scouts where participants can earn two badges, starting at 9 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 22 in Alumni Hall in Brumbaugh Academic Center on the Juniata campus.

Sponsored by the Juniata Campus Girl Scouts, the event has a $5 fee, which includes badges, activities and lunch. In addition, scouts can register to collect just one badge. The single fee is $2 per badge, plus $2 for lunch. The event also is sponsored by the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, a United Way partner agency.

Registration is required, either the day of the event or in advance. To register ahead of time, contact Anna Elias at (800) 692-7816, ext. 1806, or aelias@gshpa.org.

Registration for the event is from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Opening ceremonies are at 9:30 a.m.

The first badge workshop, which centers on science, starts at 10 a.m. and lasts two hours. Lunch is scheduled at noon.

The second badge workshop is from 1 to 3 p.m. and focuses on computers.

The available badges are: Brownie: Science in Action and Point Click and Go; Cadette and Senior: Exploring the Net and Planet Power; and Junior: Science Discovery and Discovering Technology.

In addition to the Campus Girl Scouts, students from other campus clubs, as well as staff from Juniata, will be on hand to help the scouts earn badges.
