STEVENSON, Md. -- Stevenson University's Stephanie Eyler scored twice late in the first half, leading Stevenson to a 2-0 defeat of Juniata College in women's soccer action Wednesday afternoon in Stevenson, Md.

The loss was the second in a row for Juniata (5-2-0, 0-0-0 Landmark) which opens Landmark Conference play this weekend by hosting Moravian College.

Eyler scored her first of the dayin the 31st minute, and tallied her second in the 39th minute. Both goals were unassisted.

Stevenson (6-2-2, 0-0-1 Capital) outshot Juniata 18-15, and had five corner kick opportunities to Juniata's three.

"We were just lackluster today," said Juniata head coach Scott McKenzie. "It's not a lack of effort, it's a lack of cohesion. A team for whom everything came so easily in the first five games is now finding those same things more difficult. At times it appears 11 individuals are on the field trying to solve the problem, instead of one team."

Juniata keeper Lauren Auster-Gussman (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) played all 90 minutes in the Eagle goal, recording seven saves. Stevenson's Brittany Ross recorded the complete game shutout for the Mustangs, registering seven saves.

Juniata and Moravian College will square off on Winton Hill Field on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 1:00 p.m.
