HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Lycoming College scored twice in the 14th minute on its way to a 2-0 win over Juniata College, in men's soccer action Tuesday afternoon on Winton Hill Field in Huntingdon, Pa.

The Warriors' Chris Lorenzet scored what would ultimately be the game winner with 31:49 remaining in the opening half, beating Juniata keeper Ted Sonneborn (Syracuse, N.Y./Manlius Pebble Hill). Lycoming's Mike Coates notched a goal of his own just 33 seconds later, with Matt Frey getting the assist. Coates was also credited with an assist on Lorenzet's goal.

Juniata (4-4-0, 0-0-0 Landmark) outshot Lycoming 11-9, and had five set-piece opportunities off corner kicks to Lycoming's one, however the Eagles were not able to convert any of their opportunities. One of Juniata's best scoring chances came in the waning seconds of the game, when Fred McNeal (Towanda, Pa./Troy) caromed a shot off the cross-bar from just outside the six-yard box.

Sonneborn finished with two saves for the Eagles, while Lycoming (5-2-1) keeper David Bald tallied six saves on the night.

Juniata will return to action this Saturday, Sept. 27, when it opens Landmark Conference play by hosting Moravian College at 1:00 p.m. on Winton Hill Field.
