HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- The Juniata College women's soccer team earned the program's first-ever regional ranking, when the Eagles were tapped ninth in the Middle Atlantic Region according to Tuesday's adidas/National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national and regional polls.

The ranking is the first in the program's 15-year history.

Juniata finished the weekend with a 4-0-0, including a 2-0 over Gettysburg College. The Bullets had been ranked 10th in last week's adidas/NSCAA Middle Atlantic Region poll, tied with Moravian College. That victory was Juniata's first over a regionally ranked opponent.

The Eagles host Lycoming College on Tuesday evening in the first of two games during this week; Juniata will travel to Altoona, Pa., on Saturday to face Penn State-Altoona.
