HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Juniata college student clubs and its cheerleading squad, will perform and host a variety of activities as part of a "Rock Out Lock-In" event from 9 p.m. to 10 a.m. at the Huntingdon Community Center March 28.

The lock-in is open to schoolchildren in grades six through eight and it benefits Caleb Cook, an 11-year-old from Huntingdon who attends Huntingdon Area Middle School. Cook has been diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma.

The event asks for a $10 donation to attend the lock-in. Tickets can be purchased at the Huntingdon Community Center, at the corner of 5th and Mifflin streets, from 4 to 6 p.m. daily or by calling (814) 641-3364.

About student 60 volunteers from Juniata College will host the lock-in and provide activities for the participants.

There will be pizza, refreshments, ice cream and snacks available, as well as breakfast.

The activities include a pep rally featuring the Juniata cheerleading squad and performances by the Juniata Step Team and the Juniata Dance Team. In addition the college's chemistry and physics clubs will give participatory workshops for all the attendees.

Other activities include moves, games and prizes, team-building activities, Guitar Hero competitions, an open skate time hosted by a DJ, and a mural painting project.
