HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Two members of the Juniata College women's basketball team have been named to the D3hoops.com All-Mid Atlantic Team, which was announced Wednesday morning.

Freshman forward Jen Hnatuck (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Trinity) was a First team selection on the squad, while junior forward Kelly Ashcraft (Bellefonte, Pa./State College) was a Second team honoree.

Hnatuck finished her rookie campaign with 330 points and 240 rebounds, averaging 11.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest. She led the Landmark Conference in rebounding and was 10th in scoring, and was fourth in the conference in field goal percentage (.502). Hnatuck earned Second team All-Landmark Conference honors this season.

Ashcraft was Juniata's leading scorer with 13.3 points per game, and ranked fifth in the Landmark in scoring. Her 6.1 boards per game ranked sixth in the conference; she led the league, and is ranked 13th in Division III, in field goal percentage (.573). Ashcraft was a First team All-Landmark Conference selection this season.

Juniata was one of only two schools, along with Messiah College, to place two players on the D3hoops.com All-Mid Atlantic team. The University of Scranton's Kathleen Daly (Third team) and Moravian College's Alyssa Bisci (Third team) were the only other Landmark Conference players on the All-Mid Atlantic squad.

Under fifth-year head coach Danny Young, the Eagles finished the season with an 18-10 mark, 10-4 in the Landmark Conference, and advanced to the conference tournament championship game. The Eagles earned an at-large (Pool B) bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship, the program's second NCAA tournament appearance and third in a national post-season tournament, where they were downed by number one-ranked Hope College in the first round.

D3hoops.com, now in its 13th year of existence, is considered the preeminent authority on NCAA Division III men's and women's basketball. The D3hoops.com All-Region teams were nominated and then voted upon by the sports information directors in each of eight regions around the country.
