HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The top-ranked Juniata College women's volleyball squad improved its overall record to 19-2 with a 3-0 win over Elizabethtown College, Wednesday night at the Kennedy Sports + Recreation Center in Huntingdon, Pa. Game scores were 30-11, 30-21, and 30-16. Seventeen different players saw playing time in the win, with Erin Albert (Philipsburg, Pa./Philipsburg-Osceola) leading the offense with 10 kills. Albert also contributed defensively with four block assists during the night. Michelle Morchesky (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield), Amber Thomas (Ephrata, Pa./Conestoga Valley), and Megan Lamens (Schellsburg, Pa./Berlin Brothersvalley) each recorded six kills. Megan Sollenberger (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) helped the cause offensively with four service aces, to go with 19 digs. Elizabethtown College was paced offensively by Paige Tanner with nine kills, while Ashley Whitmarsh had five. Juniata will head to Baltimore, Md., this weekend to face Landmark Conference foes Catholic University and Goucher College.
