The sixth annual Juniata College Sports Hall of Fame induction is slated for Saturday, November 4th on the College Hill campus. The seven new members of the Hall of Fame will be honored at the J-Club luncheon that day prior to the Waynesburg at Juniata football game which is slated for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff. At halftime of the contest between the Eagles and Yellow Jackets, the past and incoming Hall of Fame members in attendance will be recognized. The formal induction of the class will be part of a dinner program that evening starting at 7:00 p.m. In addition, there will be a reception in the Kennedy Sports+Rec Center that evening beginning at 5:45 p.m.

Among those to be inducted include, Rhonda Bygall '90, a volleyball standout, Mike Culver '87, who was a football and baseball player as an undergraduate and a former coach, Carmen DeFrancesco '75, an outstanding football player, and Henry Gibbel '57, a basketball student-athlete, team manager and long-time friend of Juniata. In addition, John Montgomery '21, one of the first members of the College Hill football program and a track and field athlete, will be inducted posthumously, while Mark Rucinski '85, who was a basketball performer during his career, and Joe "The Toe" Veto '56, a football, baseball and coach while at Juniata, complete the Class of 2000.

The Juniata College Sports Hall of Fame is housed in the Alumni Lounge of the Kennedy Sports+Rec Center. Permanent plaques of each honoree are mounted on the wall in the lounge and are for the public to view during regular hours at the Kennedy Sports+Rec Center.

Anyone is welcome to attend the day, including the J-Club luncheon and Hall of Fame reception/dinner. The cost of the hall of fame banquet is $25, while the cost of the J-Club luncheon is $10.
