Elizabethtown 3, Juniata 0 ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. â?? The Juniata College women\'s soccer team was unable to hand Elizabethtown College its first conference loss in the team\'s homecoming match as the Eagles suffered a 3-0 set-back to the Blue Jays in Elizabethtown Saturday afternoon. Juniata\'s record is now 10-6-1, 2-3 in conference play. Elizabethtown improved to 10-3-2 and 5-0 in conference action. Elizabethtown got a pair of goals in the first half, then added another in the second and the Blue Jays defense kept Juniata\'s offense under wraps throughout the contest. The home team got on the scoreboard in the 15th minute when Keeley Trumbo found the back of the net off an assist from Brooke Dotterer. Dotterer was involved in the action again 12 minutes later when she assisted on Jenny Fromuth\'s goal that made it 2-0 in favor of the Blue Jays at the 26:36 mark. Juniata keeper Lisa Russo (Lakeland/Haskell, N.J.) worked to keep Juniata in the match as she made three first-half saves. Russo then added four more stops in the second half, trying to keep Juniata in position for a comeback, but that became less likely in the 73rd minute when Fromuth scored her second tally of the match, once again off an assist from Dotterer to put the match out of reach. Juniata got through Elizabethtown\'s defense for three shots in the match, forcing Blue Jays keeper Dawn Mellen to make one save. The Eagles will face another stiff test on Wednesday when they host nationally-ranked Messiah College for a Commonwealth match. ###
