Huntingdon, PA - Juniata College placed 35 athletes on the Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation (MAC) Academic Honor Roll for the fall sports season. To be eligible for the award a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior; have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and have completed the fall sports season in good standing on their team.

Juniata's 35 athletes were the 12th most among MAC schools and were eighth among those schools with a football program. Juniata had players named from each of its eight fall varsity sports.

This year's football team produced eight Honor Roll athletes. Two seniors represented Juniata on the list, with Patrick Brown (Central Cambria/Ebensburg, PA) and Matthew Garner (Bellwood-Antis/Tyrone, PA) earning the honor. Juniors Thomas Kimmel (South Range/Canfield, OH), Gerald Miceli (Mechanicsburg/Mechanicsburg, PA), Stephen Parson (Blackhawk/Beaver Falls, PA) and Peter Thomas (Mechanicsburg/Mechanicsburg, PA.) were also chosen to represent Juniata. Sophomores Mohammad Ali Khoshevis (Seneca Valley/Germanton, MD) and Kiel Knisely (Claysburg-Kimmel/Queen, PA) rounded out the football selections.

The men's cross country team placed three members on the team this year. Three juniors from this season's team were selected: Adam Loser (Central York/York, PA), James Serfass (Wellsboro/Wellsboro, PA) and Michael Vella (Hollidaysburg/Hollidaysburg, PA).

The women's cross country team was honored with five Honor Roll athletes. Juniors Nancy Hayes (Westminster/Westminster, PA) and Katey Glunt (Bellefonte/Bellefonte, PA) were both selected, as well as sophomores Megan Fahy (Brandywine/Wilmington, DE), Elena Amato (Notre Dame Prep/Baltimore, MD), and Lauren Gates (Bishop Guilfoyle/Altoona, PA).

Juniata's field hockey team was able to produce seven Honor Roll athletes. This season's seniors were Melonie Sappe (Dallas/Shaverstown, PA), Billie Rickenbaugh (East Juniata/McAlisterville, PA) and Grace McCluskey (West Perry/Elliottsburg, PA). Sara Roux (Lewistown/Lewistown, ME) and Rebekah Hauser (Mt. Lebanon/Pittsburg, PA), both juniors, were also chosen. Sierra Dickman (Foxcroft School/Marshall, VA) and Corinne Hamblet (South Carroll/Westmintser, MD.) represented the sophomore class.

One player from the men's soccer team, junior Jeffery Gehring (Exeter Township/Reading, PA), earned Honor Roll recognition.

The women's soccer team produced three athletes who claimed honor roll distinction. Senior Emily Miller (Penns Valley/Coburn, PA), junior Carrie Burkholder (Shippensburg/Shippensburg, PA) and sophomore Kristin Yohn (Indian Valley/Reedsville, PA) each garnered a spot on the team.

The women's tennis team had a pair of players earn the academic honors. Senior Elizabeth Cooney (Forest Hills/South Fork, PA) and sophomore Mary Coursey (Westminster/Hanover, PA) were both were named to the team.

Finally, from this season's NCAA Division III National Champions, Juniata's women's volleyball team produced five honor roll athletes. The seniors from this season's squad were Carli Dale (Cochranton/Cochranton, PA), Lindsey Habel (Glen Oak/Canton, OH) and Erin Winsor (Altoona/Altoona, PA). From the junior class, Abigail Leonard (Shade/Johnstown) made the cut. Allison Phillips (Carlisle/Gardners, PA) was chosen as a sophomore.
