Huntingdon, Pa.? The Juniata College women?s tennis ran into a hot Moravian College squad and fell by a 9-0 score in Huntingdon Saturday afternoon.

In singles action, Jenny Liu (Pennsville Memorial/Deep Water, N.J.) came the closest to earning a point for Juniata, as she fell 7-5, 6-1 at four singles. Lindsay DiPaola (Cumberland Valley/Mechanicsburg) and Molly Coursey (Westminster/Hanover) each lost their outings 6-1, 6-2. Elizabeth Cooney (Forest Hills/South Fork) dropped a 6-3, 6-0 decision at third singles while Jenna Taylor (Pequea Valley/Narvon) was defeated 6-1, 6-0 at the fifth position. Anita Desai (Cumberland Valley/Mechanicsburg) was at the sixth singles position and put up a good battled before losing 6-4, 6-0.

In doubles Liu and Cooney battled to an 8-2 loss at third doubles. Desai and Taylor suffered an 8-1 set-back at second doubles, while DiPaola and Coursey fell 8-0 at the top doubles spot.

Juniata will continue with conference play on Wednesday when they take on Susquehanna in Selinsgrove.
